China Tianjin Chemical Engineering Design Institute (CTCE) enjoys good reputation of Class A, famous in project consultation, engineering design and design-build contract as its main part. It possesses the design qualifications of class A in chemical industry, petrochemical industry, pharmacy and architecture, class B in marine industry, commodity grain and municipal construction & public utilities. It holds the design certificates of pressure vessels and pressure pipelines, and possesses the project consultant qualification of class A and the design-build contract qualification of class A.

So far, CTCE has 430 staff members of whom 320 are professional technicians among which there are 14 professorship engineers, 7 national first class registered architects, 9 national first class registered structures, 38 national registered chemical, electric, public equipment and consultant engineers, the senior engineers account for about 50 per cent of the technicians.

CTCE owns a computer internet with giga truck lines and 270 terminals and is equipped with relevant specialized computer software. All drawings can be designed with computers.

CTCE has more than 10 departments including engineering, procurement, construction, research & development center, relating to the specialties such as process system, piping, auto control, chemical equipment, industrial furnace, water supply & sewage, fire fighting , electric, heating & ventilation, external piping, heat-supply, architecture, structure, general layout, engineering estimation, technical economics. Besides, there are management and service departments including general office, personnel department, chief engineer office, technical management department, business department and information & network management department etc..

Since established in 1958, CTCE has undertaken thousands of engineering designs, engineering supervisions and design-build contracts for projects of large, medium and small sizes in fields of oil refining, chemical industry, dyestuff, medicine, food industry, fine chemicals, light industry, heat supply, warehouse, environmental protection and public utilities, civil architecture areas. It has gained over 30 prizes for its superior engineering performance.

CTCE was certified by China Great Wall (Tianjin) Quality Assurance Center to quality in conformity with GB/T 19001-1994-ISO9001:1994 standard in 1996 and GB/T 19001-2000-ISO9001:2000 quality system in 2003.
